Nicaragua
Despite being one of the poorest countries in the world, Nicaragua is considered to be one of the safest countries in Central America to visit. "The Land of Lakes and Volcanoes", as it is known, is home to the largest lake in Central America, and twenty-three volcanoes, of which nineteen are active. Nicaragua is sure to resonate with adventure seekers, history buffs, and everyone alike.
